Press Release: Jennie Stuart Health announces letter of intent to join Deaconess

Hopkinsville, KENTUCKY 09/23/2024 – Jennie Stuart Health board of directors
has signed a non-binding letter of intent (LOI) to join Deaconess Health.


With the execution of the LOI, the parties began a due diligence process that allows both
health systems to evaluate each other and finalize the specific details of the agreement
that would strengthen and grow medical services for Hopkinsville and the surrounding
communities. This process is expected to be completed by late 2024 after further board
and regulatory approvals.


Jennie Stuart Health and Deaconess each have a remarkable legacy in healthcare, with
Jennie Stuart Health serving the community for 110 years and Deaconess for 131 years.
Both organizations have long provided the highest level of advanced care in the region.
Their extensive histories reflect a shared commitment to excellence and innovation,
ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care now and for years to come.
