(Hopkinsville, KY)- Jennie Stuart Health’s very own Orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. David Bealle was recognized Friday, September 20th, at halftime of the Hopkinsville High School football game in honor of his hard work in establishing a comprehensive sports medicine program for local student-athletes.
It was Dr. Bealle’s love of sports and an injury that led him to pursue a career in Orthopaedics/Sports Medicine. Having been an athlete himself (both at the high school and collegiate level) Dr. Bealle went to medical school, completed an orthopaedic residency and an orthopaedic fellowship at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Bealle returned to the Hopkinsville area and started a successful orthpaedic practice that led him to establishing what would become many benefits to student-athletes such as: walk-in clinics, free annual sports physicals, placement/supervision of athletic trainers, and much more.
During his 25 years of practice Dr. Bealle has set the standard for orthopaedic care in Western Kentucky. He has worked tirelessly to recruit other providers such as Dr. Rudy Robbe, Dr. Timothy Chang, Ken Parker (PA), Miles Durham (PA), Nicholas Basham (PA), and Dixon Craft (PA).
Dr. Bealle was joined in this celebration by his loving family, friends, and colleagues to celebrate his long-tenure in orthopaedic care and these accomplishments back where it began more than 25 years ago, underneath those “Friday night lights”.
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Bealle or the Jennie Stuart Orthopaedic team you can call 270-889-0701. The Jennie Stuart Orthopaedics office is located at 10755 Eagle Way Bypass, Ste 200, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
Dr. Larry Long was also recognized during this event for his tireless efforts as Team Doctor for Hopkinsville High School spanning nearly 3 decades here in Hopkinsville. He provided free care to those athletes and always stood at the ready to take their call!
