Dr. David Bealle, a Hopkinsville native, has proudly served the Western Kentucky region with outstanding orthopaedic care for the past 20 years, performing more than 10,000 surgeries to help his patients achieve greater comfort and mobility.

A 1984 graduate of Hopkinsville High School, Dr. Bealle attended Murray State University on an academic / football scholarship. It was there he became interested in orthopaedic medicine following surgical treatment of a college football injury.

He continued his education at the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree (magna cum laude) and performed his internship, residency in orthopedic surgery. After residency training, he completed a rigorous fellowship in sports medicine, while also serving as team physician for Kentucky State University and assistant team physician for the University of Kentucky.

Dr. Bealle is board certified by, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and holds a subspecialty board certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Southern Orthopaedic Association and the University of Kentucky Community Faculty Program.

In addition to Sports Medicine, Dr. Bealle has special interests in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery.

Dr. Bealle returned to his hometown with his wife of 28 years, Amy, and their four children in 1999, and founded West Kentucky Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (now Jennie Stuart Health Orthopaedics). He is a director of sports medicine for Jennie Stuart Medical Center, serving high school athletics in Trigg, Todd and Christian Counties.

Interests

He enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, riding motorcycles, and deeply values his church home at New Work Fellowship.
